Super 8

Home Movies to DVD

Although film quality varies greatly, most customers are surprised to see how well the film to video transfer process maintains, and in most cases improves the image quality.

Digital Media Productions will transfer your home movies before time starts to reduce the quality of your film or tape. 8mm/Super8 film becomes old and brittle and projector repair and replacement is expensive and hard to find. VHS tapes have a life expectancy of 10-15 years (even if not played) and the quality reduces over time. We know how important it is to preserve your memories for generations to come and we treat every project as if it were our own.

8mm/Super 8 Film
Digital Media Productions is not a "transfer mill". We don't use the old fashioned goko, elmo or any type of telecine equipment developed in the 60's. We use a diffused light source to ensure no bright spots in the transfer. What makes this method so much more precise than the others is the transfer occurs frame by frame using a computer to capture each image and later compile them into digital video.

VHS, 8mm or High 8 Tape
Digital Media Productions will transfer your tapes to computer for editing and color correcting. Since your tapes degrade so rapidly, it is very important to get these tapes transfered to a digital source as soon as possible.
